Mirroring Speed Boost

The Mirroring Speed Boost is only available in DAP version 9.3 or higher.
The standard mirror search is available in older versions of DAP.

Download Accelerator Plus features a powerful Mirroring Speed Boost to ensure the fastest possible download sources. The Speed Boost is provided by a mirror search that starts automatically and looks for the fastest mirror sites continuously throughout the course of the download. When it finds a faster mirror site it swaps it out on-the-fly, automatically providing for the fastest possible download speed.

The mirror search lets you set your location to help find the best possible mirror sites.

To set your location:

1. In DAP's main window, click Tools and then click Options. DAP's configuration window appears.
2. In the configuration menu, select Connection to display the Connection options.
3. Select your location from the Country and State/Region drop-down menus.

If you prefer to download files from a specific site you may turn off the default mirror search.

To do so, uncheck the Automatically start searching for file(s) in mirror search engines setting. DAP will now download from one source only, and will establish multiple connections to that source.
