About Download Accelerator Plus

Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) accelerates the speed with which you can receive files over the Internet using FTP and HTTP protocols, by simultaneously downloading several file segments from the same or different servers. The application enables you to pause and resume downloads, and to recover from a dropped internet connection.

In addition, DAP searches for mirror sites and implements the downloads from the best or most responsive mirrors. It is configured by default to automatically integrate into your Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera or Netscape browser when it is installed, and to self-activate each time a download is performed.

No further configuration or action is required on your part - simply use your browser to access the desired site, click on the download file, and respond to the self-explanatory DAP dialogs that appear.

DAP's advanced options enable you to tailor the operation of the application to your needs. You can choose to trigger specific responses including messages, queue update, and closing the application and disconnecting after the download completes or is unavailable.

What's new in DAP 10?

DAP 10 consists of the core DAP download acceleration engine, streamlined and optimized for powerful efficiency and ease of use. On top of the core downloader, DAP 10 features a new add-on system that allows its capabilities to be expanded with additional features.

The all new Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) version 10, is also equipped with DAPsters. DAPsters are definitions for specific hosting sites that make DAP work for you, saving you time and effort. Don't waste your time waiting for the file availability, powered by DAPsters, DAP will wait and execute the download for you. If the site requires a CAPTCHA, DAP will display it for you and prompt you to enter the text.
